AI that gets your everyday tasks done.

Ask for the outcome, not just the answer. OpenWorker works in your everyday tools — email, calendar, Slack, your files — does the task end to end, and hands you the finished deliverable: the brief, the report, the untangled week. It checks in before anything important, and you stay in charge.

How it works

Up and running in three steps.

1

Bring your model

Paste an API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google — or pick Ollama and run fully local, no key at all. It stays on your machine.

~30 seconds
2

Connect your tools

One click for Slack, Gmail, Calendar, HubSpot, Notion and more. Tokens are stored on your machine — nowhere else.

OAuth, or paste your own tokens
3

Get it done

Ask for what you need — a brief, a report, a tidy inbox. OpenWorker does the work, checks in when it matters, and hands you the deliverable.

You stay in charge
Automations

It works while you're in meetings.

Your coworker notices things. Set a trigger once, and it starts working the moment something happens — asking for approval when it matters.

When someone mentions it in Slack
Slack · #incidents
@openworker checkout API is 500ing
then → Pulls recent deploys, checks the runbook, and posts a triage summary in-thread.
When a new customer record appears
HubSpot · Contacts
New contact — VP Data, Acme Corp
then → Researches the company, drafts intro outreach, and files a brief for your review.
When an email arrives
Gmail · Inbox
RFP questions from Northwind Traders
then → Assembles answers from your docs and drafts the reply. Nothing sends without you.
On a schedule you set
Schedule · Mondays, 9:00 am
Weekly marketing report is due
then → Pulls last week's numbers from HubSpot and your analytics, drafts the report, and posts it to #marketing before standup.
Privacy

Private by architecture, not by promise.

The app runs on your machine and talks to your model provider directly. There is no OpenWorker server in the middle of your conversations.

Stays on your device

Always · by design
  • Your files, drafts, and every conversation
  • Connector tokens — Slack, Gmail, HubSpot, all of them
  • Your model API keys

The optional cloud sees

Only if you sign in
  • Your sign-in identity and the persona gallery
  • Connection metadata for one-click OAuth — never the tokens
  • Content-free usage counts you can switch off

Don't take our word for it — read the source. Everything works without an account, with tokens you paste yourself.

Teams

OpenWorker for teams

Teams already run OpenWorker with shared Slack automations and the same specialized coworkers. Next: build a custom coworker once, publish it privately to your whole team.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is it really free? +

Yes — the app is open source. You bring your own model API key (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini) or run local models with Ollama, so you pay your model provider directly and nothing to us.

Where do my passwords and tokens live? +

On your device, in the app's local secret store. The optional cloud account only brokers the OAuth handshake — tokens are handed straight to your machine and never stored in the cloud.

Will it do things without asking me? +

Only what you've allowed. Anything consequential — sending an email, posting to Slack, running a command — lands as a check-in you approve, in the app or from Slack. You choose how independent each coworker gets to be.

Do I need an account? +

No. Everything works signed out, with tokens you paste yourself. A free account adds the persona gallery and one-click connections.

Which models can I use? +

Anthropic, OpenAI, and Gemini via your own API keys — or fully local, fully offline models through Ollama. You can switch models per coworker, even mid-conversation.
